Matt Rice is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant with a background in Big 4 public accounting and has held leadership positions in multiple different industries. We are thrilled to welcome him to the beBright team. Matt is a strategic problem solver proficient in US GAAP, SOX, and external reporting. With expertise in technical accounting and financial reporting, including IPO readiness and process automation, Matt is a dedicated professional eager to contribute to the beBright team’s success. He enjoys coaching, process improvement, and delivering results. He has a proven track record managing accounting and financial reporting, complex transactions, and business combinations. Matt has a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Saint Thomas and an undergraduate degree in Accounting & Sports Management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Getting to Know You
If you had a free day to do anything, how would you spend it?
I would get a workout, spend the afternoon working on our long list of house projects and playing with my kids, and going out to dinner with my wife.
What is one of your actual superpowers?
Finding ways to make processes more efficient through automation.
Why do you love your job?
I really enjoy coaching others to help develop and build their skillset to reach their career goals. I also love process improvement – finding areas to drive efficiency while maintaining a strong control environment.
